About Us

     Established in 1936, The Motter Agency has continued to provide quality insurance to businesses and individuals in Central Pennsylvania for over 70 years. Gearhart Herr bought the agency in 1976 and today we have six employees in the Jersey Shore office. The Motter Agency is affiliated with the West Branch Susquehanna Builders Association, the Associated Builders and Contractors, the Lycoming County Chamber of Commerce and the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers Association. The Motter Agency is a proud founding member of the Insurance Alliance of Central Pennsylvania.

The Insurance Alliance of Central Pennsylvania is a collective of premier independent agencies located in the Central, Southeastern, and greater Lehigh Valley regions of Pennsylvania. Our mission is to unite in principle and practice to bring clients within the region the absolute best insurance products and services available. The Alliance became operational January 1, 1997. The member agencies are located throughout The Central, Southeastern and greater Lehigh Valley regions of Pennsylvania.
